Learnt to ring in 2004, now ringing in London.
Ringing at Wisbech - Cambridge S Royal
Clips taken of a quarter peal of Cambridge S Royal on 13th April 2024. The quarter peal was rung in memory of Don and Anne Meyer.
The ringers in the quarter peal are either direct descendants (within 2 generations) of Don and Anne, or their partners.
The ringer of the treble (also conductor) has a link to the teaching of ringing of the majority of the band, whether directly or one of his ‘students’ teaching others.
A rather respectable piece of ringing, by people who are close in terms of relations, but rarely ring together!

Stedman Cinques at St Paul’s Cathedral

An excerpt of a touch of stedman, rung at the first ringing back at the cathedral since March 2020. Video was originally posted to the Cathedral’s social media channels. The camera was hung on the rope spider, with super wide angle lens setting turned on. Camera used is GoPro hero 8 black.

This years freshers tour was organised by Myself and Ben, and featured ringing at Christ Church Southgate, and St Mary Enfield. We decided it would be fun to go and play some crazy golf as part of our trip, and a good day was had. I do not own the copyright for the music.

A couple of clips of the ringing (by ULSCR and friends) from my penultimate practice as master of the University of London society of change ringers. The first clip is if some stedman cinques, and the second of some Bristol during a touch of spliced s maximus (Bristol, zanussi, Phobos). The sound control was open and I was by the door, hence why they sound more like they do outside than in!

ULSCR at Westminster Abbey

On St George's Day 2016, the University of London Society (ULSCR) had the chance to ring a quarter on the bells of the abbey. This was to go towards the UL 70th Year celebrations, where a qp is rung for the society at the closest 70 ringable towers to hart st. A new 10cwt Whitechapel 8. These have to be rung fully muffled due to the volume of the bells in the ringing room, as too much sound comes through the trapdoor. Bells are only normally rung fully muffled on very special occasions, such as the death of a monarch.

Thank you so much… I know it's not the same as being there, but for those of us in the states who fell in love with change bringing through Dorothy Sayers descriptions, it is a treat to be able to go online and search for the sound. i've heard it a few times in my life, but I have not yet had the pleasure of hearing York Minster, although I have been there.
These bells are absolutely lovely. I would love to have the chance to ring at Liverpool Cathedral and, if possible, ring that lovely 82cwt tenor as well.
